Face it. You know you need to finally put the ice cream down and get off the couch. I know. It is not easy. First came Halloween with the candy. Next came Thanksgiving and Christmas. Then New Years. Just as you were actually going to start dieting again, Valentines day came. You blinked your eyes and found jelly beans and marshmallow bunnies all over your house. Now, the candy corn, cinnamon bears and red jelly beans have widened the hips. Is is too late? No.
It has finally come time to keep that mouth closed except to eat vegetables and drink water. Oh, and buying mountain bike. This is the perfect solution. You do have other choices. You can either walk for twice as long or you can run. Since not many people can run easily, and walking just takes too darn long, biking becomes the best option.
Walking an hour only burns 300 calories. You would have to walk one hour a day for two weeks in order to lose a pound. By cycling you can speed that up in half. Bike riding is the key.
losing weight means to eat less and burn extra calories through exercise. If you are embarrassed to exercise in public, buy a some black pants, a black helmet and ride in the evening. As you start to get more confident, try using you bike for as many errands as you can. Going to mail letters is a perfect reason to take the bike out.
There are only positive things about riding. It is a safe exercise. It allows you to commute. You save money on gas. You help the environment. You get extra endorphins. You can easily and comfortable lose two pounds a week. If you want to help your diet even more, try using a protein shake that you can blend with hand mixers.
Try to exercise during the same time everyday. Have a schedule and let everyone know that you can not be bothered. This is your time. Stick to it. Try to ride every day. Exercising three times a week for thirty minutes is the minimum amount of time we should exercise.
If you ride for one hour everyday except for Sunday, you will lose one pound in a week. If you diet a tiny bit by shaving off 600 calories a day, you can double your weight loss. This means you are losing weight without the discomfort of starving. You will like riding too! It is the by far the most enjoyable method of exercise.
