[8] Finally, we come back to the beginning of our knowledge of the NK-cell. Here lies a NK-cell in a lawn of sheep red blood cells. These cells are perfect targets for the NK-cell, possessing no HMC-1 receptor. The wrath of NK-cell is fully vented on the surrounding sheep red blood cells.

[9] [9] The cytotoxins completely destroy the sheep red blood cells, leaving clear plaques around the NK-cell. There is no apoptosis event, just direct cytotoxicity. The NK-cell is own of the key soldiers in the fight against viral and cancer growth.

[7] NK-cells may also contribute to immunal regulation by secreting high levels of influential lymphokines. Therefore research to develop natural products to stimulate the NK-cell activity, specially in immune-supressed pacients undergoing chemotherapy for cancer, or in any viral disease such as AIDS or bird flu, where immune-supression occurs, is very important in the regulation of aspects of the immune system, which affects our overall health.

[6] Indeed, research has shown that most of the tumor cells that enter the circulation are destroyed during the first 24 hours, and only a few cells succeed in establishing themselves in distant organs from the primary tumor, which is called metastasis.

[4] NK-cells kill on contact. The killer cell binds to its target, aims its weapons, and then delivers a lethal burst of toxins that produces holes in the target cell’s membrane, and creates events that destroys the cancer cell membrane, and cleaves DNA into many pieces, and a programmed cell death: that is, apoptosis manner.

[2] NK-cells make up about 5 to 15 % of the total circulating lymphocyte population.
NK-cells are called “natural killers” because they do not need to recognise a specific antigen before releasing their toxins and destroying a viral infected cell, or cancer cell.
They target tumor cells and protect against a wide variety of infectious microbes.

[1] Of all the immune system soldiers, NK-cells are the most aggressive.
They are lymphocytes with no immunological memory, and are part of your innate immune system.

As far as I know, NK-cells use their weapons agains every cell which hasn’t HLA-1, so that’s why infected cells and cancer cells can be destroyed. But, some times they spear HLA-1 and so NK won’t work.

I got cancer and it metastasized now.
So this movie is very encouraging for me.
I watch this movie again and again, everyday.
Because this movie improves my immunity.
Lots of Thanks!!

Anyway I am not so good at hearing English.
I can’t catch what the narrator is saying.
Is there anybody who write it to dictation?

Thank you

Interesting animation on how “natural killer cells” ((That are a specific type of T-Cells)) act in our body in order to protect. The formulation seems to be an interesting drug that may help in the treatment of different diseases.
